Rules of Membership |

The constitution of the club and the rules of membership are available for inspection at the clubhouse. Members are asked to take particular note of the following rules for the Mountain Lakes Golf Club relating to play:- 1. It is the obligation of all members to familiarise themselves fully with the etiquette of the game of golf. 2. Practising on the course or the use of 'tiger' tees except during competition is strictly forbidden. 3. Players are responsible for the repair of pitch marks and divots. |

4. Any member or members guest found littering the course will be asked to leave the premises immediately. 5. Members who deface club premises, signs or notices will be liable to instant dismissal. 6. Remember slow play irritates and obey the etiquette of the games at all times. Local Rules 1. Out of Bounds 1.1 Beyond any boundary hedge or fence surrounding the course. 1.2 Beyond any white markers defining the course boundary, putting green and practice area. 1.3 To the left of the 10th fairway. 1.4 The Clubhouse and its enclosure. 2. Water Hazards Are defined by yellow posts. Lateral Water Hazards Are defined by red stakes. Note: Any unmarked ditches are to be treated as lateral water hazards. 3. Immovable Obstructions The following are immovable obstructions and relief may be taken under Rule 24-2b. 3.1 Staked, white tagged or NEW trees under two club lengths in height. 3.2 All storm damaged trees and their surrounds (including foliage, branches and logs). 3.3 Sprinkler heads, manhole covers, water hydrants and hoses. |

4. Ground under Repair The following areas may be treated as ground under repair: 4.1 All areas defined by white paint or blue stakes. 4.2 French drains including those with pipes not covered with stones. 4.3 All earthworks. 4.4 Bunkers where marked G.U.R. Use dropping zones if provided. 4.5 Newly turfed or seeded areas. 4.6 Vehicle tracks. 4.7 All gravel paths. |

5. Preferred Lies When preferred lies are in effect (i.e. winter rules) ball lying on closely mown area may be lifted and placed within 6 inches not nearer the hole. 6. Stones interfering with play in bunkers may be removed Movable Obstruction Rule 24-22. Yardage markers are installed on the course indicating 100 yards to the front of the green in red and white and 150 yards to the front of the green in blue and white. |
